Reporting content

Most of what homehogs holds is private to the household that keeps it. Some of it is shared on purpose: a handover pack sent to a buyer, a logbook shared with a builder, an article on our website. If something in one of those should not be there, this page says how to tell us and what we do about it.

What you can report

• Something in a shared pack or logbook that was not the sender's to share: a photograph of you, a document about you, personal details that should not have gone out.
• Something that uses your work without permission: a photograph, a drawing, a piece of writing.
• Anything else on a homehogs page that is unlawful, offensive or plainly wrong.

What to include

• The link. For a shared pack or logbook, the address you were sent; for a page on our website, the address in your browser.
• What the content is, so we can find it quickly.
• Why it should come down: that it is about you, that it is yours, or what else is wrong with it.
• Who you are and how to reach you. If you are reporting on somebody else's behalf, say so.

Where to send it

Email hello@homehogs.com with the subject line Content report. That subject is what gets it to the right person first. If you would rather use the support form, start your message with the same two words.

What happens next

1. We acknowledge your report. We aim to do that within two working days.
2. We look at it. If we need more from you, we will ask.
3. If the content should not be there, we remove it or take the share down, and we tell the person who put it there why.
4. We tell you what we did.

We cannot settle a dispute between two people over who owns a photograph or whether a fact is true. Where a report comes down to that, we will say so and point you to who can.
